LGBTQ Reading at Laurel Bookstore

LGBTQ Reading at Laurel Bookstore

Posted by Alan Ozzuna on

We were honored to attend author Kathleen Archambeau's reading from her book, Pride & Joy: LGBTQ Artists, Icons, and Everyday Heroes, at Oakland's Laurel Bookstore. The book tells the stories of queer citizens from around the world living out, fulfilling, and successful lives - from the famous to the unsung. Our head baker, Andrés, is interviewed in it - recounting their experience leaving Argentina and restarting life in Oakland. And Citabria, our right hand manager and marketer extraordinaire, is mentioned for her years of queer ballroom finesse. It's an inspiring book full of stories of success, happiness and hope within the LGBTQ community.
