Immigrant Pride

Immigrant Pride

Posted by Andrés Ozzuna on

June isn't just for LGBTQ Pride. It's also Immigrant Heritage Month, so it’s a great time to introduce our friends’ website We Are Home - sharing and celebrating the stories of immigrants. “Together we travel. Together we experience. Together we are home.” Sol and Tara use photography and writing to reveal the collective strength of immigrants’ narratives. They recently interviewed Andrés about coming to the US from Argentina twenty years ago. You can check out the full article here and sign up to share your story too.

Speaking of immigration, we recently had the opportunity to watch Don't Tell Anyone (No Le Digas a Nadie) - the story of Angy Rivera’s coming out as an undocumented woman in New York. We highly recommend it - a great illustration of the arbitrariness of our current immigration policies in the US and how they affect peoples' day lives. No human being is illegal. Together we are home.
