Buenos Aires Pride: Latin America’s Largest LGBTQ+ Celebration

While most Pride festivities in the US take place in June to commemorate the Stonewall Riots (June 28, 1969), Buenos Aires Pride takes place in November. Their first march held in 1992 attracted a mere 300 people. Many of whom wore masks to conceal their identity. Twenty five years later, Buenos Aires' annual Orgullo (Pride) has become the largest LGBT celebration in Latin America (take that Brazil!), attracting more than 100,000 people from all over the world.

Wooden Table Baking Co.: A Proud LGBTQ-Owned Business

Wooden Table Baking Co. is proud to be an LGBTQ-owned business, and we recently made the San Francisco Business Times’ list of Top 50 LGBT-Owned Businesses in the Bay Area. Sure, we were 49th, but we made it and that's all that counts!

Pride & Joy: Inspiring Queer Leaders Through Stories

And if that's not gay enough for you...We're also happy to be a part of Kathleen Archambeau's new book, Pride & Joy: Artists, Icons and Everyday Heroes, featuring in-depth stories of 30 global queer icons. Kathleen is an award-winning nonfiction writer and journalist, a longtime, local advocate for queer rights, and of course a medal-winning, same-sex ballroom dancer. She wrote the book to help embolden the next generation of queer leaders and to give hope to those still struggling with their sexual and gender identity.  She's currently on book tour, but will be back in the bay in the fall for San Francisco's Litquake (alfajores will also be in attendance).

We wish everyone a safe and happy Pride! Don’t forget to check out our full Pride collection and celebrate with us.
